The Texas A&M University also states on average a household that owns one or more horses will spend an additional $9,376 per household on related items. Some of these related items are:
Tack & Equipment (halters, ropes, bridles, bits, blankets, feeders, waterer's, stalls, horse toys & etc.)
Fencing (wire, fence pliers, hammers, posts, insulators, fencers, etc.)
Pasture Maintenance (sprayers, chemicals, seed, fertilizers, weed killers & etc.)
Clothing (hats, belts, scarfs, leather gloves, western shirts, western boots & etc.)
Home Decorating (pictures, nicknack's, horseshoes, lariats & etc.)
